With the focus on optimising the offering for canal boats, we have developed the DD-RM
Remote Mount (RM) versions of our popular DD unit is the same performance as a standard DD but we have mounted the motor controls in a stainless steel case where it can be placed in the engine room out of the way. This allows for neater more versatile installation with a more compact motor arrangement.
This RM case contains all the parts for the propulsion package, with simple 48v DC terminations and coolant hose connections. The thinking has been done allowing for the installer to fit with ease.
Full-system design
We can design full or part systems, starting with core components like our propulsion motors, we then layer up equipment such as batteries and distribution, chargers, solar, monitoring and metrics. This system design can then be used as an installation guide for the self-installer or by a boat builders, yards, or engineers.

The DD (direct Drive) product has evolved into a leading propulsion motor on the canal network, proving itself time and time again in boats big and bigger. Commercial and leisure.
This industrial PMAC electric motor has been carefully marinized and integrated to the unique requirements of marine vessels. We have designed various mounting options we believe will span a range of vessels. This means the DD will integrate well into existing vessels for retrofitting, ultimately keeping the cost lower when converting from IC-engine to E-motor.
These DD units will of course also work well in new builds connecting to the 48vD.C. systems that are widely used in todays vessels.
